Compact & High Pressure Laminate
Compact laminate and high-pressure laminate (HPL) are durable, engineered surface materials widely used for furniture, cabinetry, and interior fit-out applications.
High-pressure laminate (HPL) consists of decorative paper and kraft layers bonded under high heat and pressure, then applied to a substrate such as MDF or plywood, offering excellent design flexibility, scratch resistance, and ease of maintenance.
Compact laminate on the other hand is a solid, self-supporting version of HPL, made entirely from compressed kraft layers, providing superior impact resistance, moisture resistance, and structural strength—ideal for high-traffic or wet environments. Both solutions combine long service life with consistent quality and a wide range of finishes.
Below is our curated range of finishes.
High Pressure Laminate
High-pressure laminate (HPL) is a composite surface material manufactured by layering decorative paper, kraft paper, and protective overlays, which are bonded together under high heat and pressure. The result is a thin but highly durable sheet that is typically applied to substrates such as MDF, plywood, or particleboard. HPL is valued for its excellent resistance to scratches, stains, heat, and everyday wear, making it a practical solution for kitchens, cabinetry, wall panels, and furniture surfaces. It offers extensive design versatility, with a wide range of colors, woodgrains, stone effects, and textured finishes, allowing designers to achieve consistent aesthetics at scale. In addition, HPL is easy to clean, hygienic, and cost-efficient, making it a popular choice for both residential and commercial interiors.
Compact Laminate
Compact laminate is a solid, self-supporting material produced using the same high-pressure manufacturing process as HPL, but with a much higher proportion of kraft paper layers and no required substrate. This dense composition gives compact laminate exceptional structural strength, impact resistance, and moisture resistance. Unlike standard HPL, compact laminate can be used as a load-bearing panel, making it suitable for applications such as countertops, toilet partitions, lockers, wall cladding, and furniture in high-traffic or wet environments. It performs reliably in demanding conditions where hygiene, durability, and dimensional stability are critical. Compact laminate also offers strong resistance to water, steam, chemicals, and abrasion, while maintaining a clean, modern appearance with minimal maintenance requirements.
